Human Growth Hormones: HGH and Fibromyalgia.

HGH and Fibromyalgia have been in experimental rounds of treatment; in which fifty women were administered a placebo and fifty more injected themselves with a human growth hormone. An insulin-like hormone was injected into patients to see if the hormone would help with their symptoms of Fibromyalgia. The results of the HGH and Fibromyalgia tests were interesting: Women with Fibromyalgia and low IGF-1 levels experienced an improvement in their over all symptoms. Aches and pains in the trigger spots were decreased in a significant number of tender points in 9 months of daily HGH therapy. The doctors then concluded that these results suggest that a secondary growth hormone deficiency could be responsible for the symptoms. Even though the exact cause of cause of Fibromyalgia is not known, these were encouraging results for direct treatment that yielded direct results.

Since researchers for HGH and Fibromyalgia cannot determine the exact cause of the disorder, they cannot determine the exact treatment course to take. No specific courses of treatment in HGH and Fibromyalgia or any other treatments have been accepted as the standard way to deal with Fibromyalgia. The experimental rounds of treatment have so far given researchers good results and good ideas, but what's more is that it has given those living with Fibromyalgia hope. Speaking with your doctor about HGH and Fibromyalgia research will keep you informed about your disorder and possibly get you effective treatment in the future.
